Week 4 - Demonstrate

We've been so excited by the progress and inspiration in all of the teams. We're standing up the pitch page this week, and will be sharing it with the FaithTech community. For update pitches already submitted, we'll include these on the pitch page, but you can upload a final pitch if you want to (any time before November 14th) right here:

For our celebration call on November 14th, we have four awards categories:

  1. The "Ready to Go Award" for the project with the best utility.
  2. "Best design" award.
  3. The "Redemptive Vision" award.
  4. The Peoples award (voted by the community).

This is the week where we build! So here are the key tasks:

  1. Keep pressing in as a team, meeting and taking the discernment jam idea(s) to turn it into a demonstrable solution.
  2. Review and practice the co-creation cycle.
  3. Think through a 1-minute update pitch for the week 4 session.
  4. Reach out with any questions / tech needs.

Week 2 - Discern

Romans 12:2

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

  1. Run the discernment Jam with your team.
  2. Define initial build tasks and who will carry them out.
  3. Run the 3R|C process for each build decision.
  4. Have fun building your solution!

Week 1 - Discover

Nehemiah 1

This Week's Key Tasks:

  1. Link up with the challenge partner with any questions you have about the challenge.
  2. Write a lament to deeper understand, identify with, and invite Christ into, the challenge.
  3. Fill out the team information form here.
  4. Make sure you identify a project lead as your point-person for the team.
  5. Grab some time to go through the lament process together.
  6. Remember the Airmeet room is open for the whole program so you can jump in there any time!

This is the Lament guide. Use it this week to create a Lament as a team in response to the challenge you would like to solve. This will help you to truly understand the problem, and intentionally invite the Holy Spirit to pave the way as you start the creative problem-solving process.

From the playbook: 

"We reorient ourselves to see, through the lens of Christ, those most affected by a problem. We position ourselves humbly through a practice of lament."

"We feel the pain a problem is causing, present it to Jesus, and invite the Holy Spirit to actively help us understand and respond to the problem."
